Conservation title

  • Island 2000 delivers every year a full programme of priority nature conservation tasks, environmental and landscape improvements and ecological research.
  • Island 2000 arranges for 1000 trees to be planted on the Isle of Wight every year.
  • Island 2000 works on environmental projects of every size – from the 10 square metres where the Yarrow Broomrape grows to the 150 square kilometres of the Yar and Medina River catchments.
  • Island 2000 works to protect the wildlife that the Island is justly famous for in all its work – Red Squirrels, Dormice, Water Voles, Barn Owls, Badgers and much, much more.
