What we do

One of the greatest cartoonists of all time, the American Robert Osborn, when asked why he drew the things he did and why he commented on what he saw in the way that he did wrote:

" To further and enrich man's response to his own times and his own environment."

Well, that's our ambition too.

Island 2000 exists to explore and utilize every element of the Isle of Wight’s cultural and environmental distinctiveness in work that consistently enhances the well-being of those who live, work and visit here.

That’s what we do...

It means that we Celebrate Islandness!
