There’s a new bug on the way…
We’ve had an invitation here at work to attend a seminar on the forthcoming UK release of the psyllid Aphalara itadori as a bio-control agent for Japanese knotweed. It is likely to be released in April 2010 and will be left to do its own thing from there. The expert knotweed eradicators hosting the seminar are ‘Japanese Knotweed Solutions’ , www.jksl.com
This has been in the news for a while on and off but is now sounding quite definite so, come May or so, keep your eyes peeled for this rather specatcular beast on your local knotweed patch and cheer it on as it eats for victory.
